To promote the popularization of golf and address the current shortage of youth events in China, the "Guanlan Lake Youth Series" was fully launched in January 2010. This competition is authorized by the Guangdong Golf Association and is supported by the Hong Kong Golf Association, the Fedo Asian Cup, and the China Athletes Education Foundation, as well as recognition from the Royal Classical Club (R&A) and the Asia Pacific Golf Federation (APGC).

- Seasonal rounds: 36 Holes Gross Stroke Play Competition；
- Grand Final: 54 Holes Gross Stroke Play Competition
Categories (Age is calculated by subtracting of the calendar date):
- Boys Division A (13-18)
- Boys Division B (10-12)
- Boys Division C (7-9)
- Girls Division A (13-18)
- Girls Division B (10-12)
- Girls Division C (7-9)
*Note: If there are less than 3 players in any division, that division will be cancelled.

Maximum field for a round - 120 players
Closing Date for Entries:
7 days before each round; if the field is full, players enroll afterwards will automatically put into waiting list. Player has responsibility to confirm their entries.

Eligibility: The Grand Final participants shall be:
- Gross Score Top 3 of each Division from season rounds
- Champion of Mission Hills Junior Series Grand Final 2022
- Champion, Top 3 from each division of Faldo Series Shenzhen Championship 2023 (player aged under 18)
- Champion, Top 3 from each division of Faldo Series Hainan Championship 2023
- (player aged under 18)
- Champion, Top 3 from each division of Jack Nicklaus Junior Championship 2023
- Champion, Top 3 from each division of Annika Invitational at Mission Hills 2023
- Top 3 from each division of Mission Hills Par-3 Series Grand Final 2023
- Other qualified players invited by the Committee
* All invited players must meet eligibility of the grand final, i.e. age.
Prizes:
- Division Top 3 Gross Winners (Overall Champions excluded) - invite to the Faldo Series Shenzhen Championship 2024.
- Most awarded player(Gross & Net)
- Greatest progress of the year (Boys and Girls)
- Best Etiquette prize

Ranking:
- The final result of MHJS – Grand Final will be included into the World Amateur Golf Ranking and China Golf Association Junior Ranking.
* Must meet the regulation of each ranking system respectively.
Special Condition of Tournament for Grand Final:
All players should finish competition on foot during a hole.
